These are the finalised signed release forms for our actors and our locations

Team meeting

Today we had a meeting before we started filming to finalise out ideas and when and how and where we are going to film we also made them sign their release forms and the location release form for one of the actors house.  

Using the camera

Today me and Rohan used the camera to play around with the settings like aperture light exposure manual focussing and pull focusing.

Leaning a few tricks on the camera

We learnt how do I a pull focus chance the aperture the lighting of the camera what settings to use outside and what settings to use inside the college

Today we drew up our story board for our music promo video the drawings are not really good but we know what type of shots we need in each scene and what order to go in, analysing the euros and eating what each lyric would be in a scene made it easier drawing the story board up

The song is about a girl who was in a relationship with a guy but she was used and misrepresented, the girl is now pregnant and she wants to move on in life and do something with her life. The beat of the song is not slow so it wouldn’t be boring but also it won’t be fast so it matches the lyrics which is about something sad but the happiness comes after the sadness. The music video will be more performance based than narrative, it would show the guy and the girl but they’re not acting out the song they are doing their own thing which links to the lyrics a bit because I the video the girl will be sad but then moves on which links into the lyrics and the guy is doing is own thing. The conceptual element of the video will be the girl moves on in life and gets a good job.

The case studies that we researched inspired us as they contain a lot of negative attitudes in their own music videos. For example, Eminem when I’m gone talks about the negativity with his family and leaving them for the music. Additionally in Imagine Dragons radioactive the band shows the negativity of the world that is going through the apocalypse which is in fact the governments wrecking the world. Also we looked at Professor Green read all about it again talking about the negativity of his childhood past. However towards the ending of the all the music videos the negativity is overcomed and positivity rains over the negativity. It will be different from our promo video as the

We will be using Point Hill to take an establishing shot ofLondon and then we will be using it for park scene showing the girl with her friend getting advice or even the past when she was happy with the guy. We will also be using the studio either the photography studio or the film studio to show the girl by herself when she lip synching in a dark room to create a sad environment. We will also be using her bedroom to show her depressed or sad when she wakes up in the morning. We would also be using a sky scraper in central London for the last bit of the song when there is happiness and to show that she works for the company and how she changed her life around. We would also be using brick lane for when the male actor in the song is with his mates having a good time.

The actors would be wearing normal clothing except the girl she would be wearing casual but dark clothing which would symbolise sadness when she becomes app and gets a good job she would be wearing bright clothing not dark and also smart work clothing. The male actor would be wearing casual clothes e.g. jeans bomber jacket t-shirt trainers.

There is explicit language in the lyrics of the song therefore the age range of the song would higher it would be from the age of 16+ to 30. Also it would be aimed at people who have been in a bad relationship in the past. Another ethical consideration would be abortion as in ourgroup we are strongly against abortion.

The length of the song is 3:12 but we would be adding extra to it to make it about 3:30.

We would be broadcasting our video on YouTube as it is the largest platform for sharing digital media i.e. songs and videos and shot films etc., so we would have a larger audience.
